Four Stone Lodge

Not far from this home, along highway 410 that winds its way up the White River canyon toward Mount Rainier is one of our favorite spots. Laughing Waters Waterfall.

The water talks at the falls, just as it does in the White River just outside our cabin situated on almost a half acre of land surrounded by large Evergreens. You can sit there by the stream and ponder what it has been like in that spot for eons. Or wander up or down the community trail to see the sights.

Today cabins sprinkle the area, elk wander the meadow coming right up to our door. You can sit back and relax. Enjoy our warm wood stove, barbecue on the deck and drift off to sleep in the comfy bedrooms. Two Baths and Three bedrooms leave room for everyone. Good linens and towels.

For those who want a bit more festivity, there is much to do. In Winter, visit Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Washington State's largest and highest Peak. There are restaurants and shops there.

After returning to the lodge, you can fire up the wood stoves which puts out lots of heat (but we also have conventional heat.)

In Summer, tour Mount Rainier park at the renowned Sunrise or Paradise areas. Visit the Grove of the Patriarchs and visit all the waterfalls (not just our Laughing Waters favorite.)

The Gondola whisks you to the top of Crystal Mountain that overlooks the entire Mount Rainier National Park. You can even get married on top of the mountain.

As you come up the driveway, you will fee at home. Of course the bathrooms are modern and bright, the kitchen has newer appliances and all the pots, pans and dishes you could want. Sit around the table or the living room with family and friends. Sink into the comfort.
