Lovely, restful resort

Just got back from this lovely, restful resort located in a beautiful area of Hoods Canal. The unit was well equipped, really spacious and thoughtfully designed for privacy and comfort. The landscaping and grounds were beautiful and well cared for, even in mid-winter. It would be stunning in the Spring for sure!

A short, fun walk over the bridge takes you to Blue Heron's private clam, oyster and wading beach. I came over as a post-op patient to enjoy the hot tub, sauna, and exercise room. The pool was closed for the season but the hot tub was nice, even in the rain!

The rec center has everything you might want and the staff was great! Explored the antiques shops in the local towns, had a day trip to the Staircase and Lake Cresent areas of Olympic National Park via Hoodsport, a nice lunch at 2 Margarita's in Union - yummy, and enjoyed the luxury of a drink and great view from the Alderbrook Resorts bar - just down the street from the Blue Heron. This is a great getaway from anywhere in the Northwest and a hidden gem of a resort in Washington State for out of state adventurers. – Cynthia, Google.com
