Great place for families!

We stayed at the Sand Dollar for an extended family get together. It was nice to have a full kitchen and plenty of beds. We stayed in room 7, which sleeps 6, but the dining table was set up to seat 3. There are plastic chairs right outside the door so we used those and there was an extra chair in the bedroom.

The kitchen pots, pans and utensils were adequate, but if we needed anything the managers were willing and able to accomodate.

We had family staying in one of the cottages and that was REALLY nice, and just a block away so we could walk over and enjoy their outdoor firepit.

The beach was a short walk away and had the good sandcastle building sand.
The one con to the room (and the others at the Inn) was that are no doors between the living area and the bedrooms. We wanted to put the kids to bed early and watch a movie but the light and noise kept them awake. It was the same in rooms 4 and 5 where we had other family staying.

The room had a TV, VCR and DVD, and there were VHS tapes in each room. I thought that was a nice amenity. – Anonymous, Reno, NV
